It’s time to explore your adventure cycle on a slightly deeper level and to understand what’s ahead on your MIND voyage.
After investigating your story in chapter one, you should have a basic understanding of who you are. Supporting that you dived even deeper into figuring out your why. These two categories are an essential element in gaining insight into your status quo.
You are currently in your ordinary world. You’re in your comfort zone, where you feel safe and in control of yourself and your environment. But something is missing. You may not realise this, but your subconscious or potentially conscious state of mind is telling you change is needed, you wouldn’t be on this voyage if there wasn’t. This is your call to adventure and it’s time to shake things up and remove that security blanket.
Are you capable of change? As you begin to consider moving past your threshold, you will be met with a lot of resistance through opinions, excuses and lack of self-confidence. You are challenging yourself and shifting into a new paradigm.
This isn’t easy stuff.
To be drawn out of the ordinary world you may need some assistance, a Yoda to help guide and support you. Look down- this journal is your Mr Miyagi that contributions and allows you to discover yourself and confront challenges you will face. James clear said “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. Your goal is your desired outcome. Your system is the collection of daily habits that will get you there.” To create positive habitual change you must shift into a different gear. You must commit and take a chance.
You’ve already taken that chance, and now it’s time to leave your world that is familiar and safe. It’s a significant step to take, a monumental action, so be kind to yourself. You will have difficult conversations, enter a state of fear, alter patterns and habits, understand your problems and barriers and overcome trauma. You will acquire new skills, build your resilience and future proof yourself. You will be faced with conflicts and have moments of doubt and panic.
Trust the process and continue to look forward, push through the adversity that is trying to sabotage your success. By doing so you will be better equip to deal with the pressures, stress and demands of life.
You will go through many stages that will lead to change, adaptation, growth, purpose and new goals, desires and wants.
This is your voyage. Don’t confine yourself to this structure, give yourself room to breathe. Life is unpredictable, you are unique, so the cycle may not fit you at certain times. Allow yourself to stray and wander off if that’s what feels right, go backwards to go forwards, reflect and ctrl-alt-delete if need be.
